| The Lifeline Notes e-mail list exists to allow members of
Lifeline to communicate with one another. Announce your Bible studies, social gatherings,
work/moving parties, and other outings. Forward news (not copyrighted) that is especially
significant to single Christians, or send your praise reports or requests for help or
prayer. Please read the following notes and guidelines and then click on the
"Join the Lifeline Notes" link below to subscribe.
The Lifeline Notes e-mail
list is not moderated, so it is up to you to use your best judgment when sending e-mail to
the list. Please do not send requests for housemate(s) that will result in men and women
living at the same residence. Please avoid advertising social events that meet at the same
time as Lifeline gatherings. If you find yourself sending e-mail to the list more than
three times per week, then you might reconsider whether or not you are using this resource
as intended. If you reply to a message, please reply to the sender rather than to the
entire list, unless it is important for the whole group to receive your reply.
The Lifeline Notes member
list will not be made public. Messages are only made available to members of the list, but
anyone is welcome to join the list. Only members of the list can send messages to
the list.
It is possible that there
will be many people who send e-mail to the list, and this could result in several e-mails
on the same day. If you would prefer to receive each day's e-mails compiled into a single
e-mail, you can receive a "daily digest" rather than individual e-mails. The
"daily digest" compilation is sent after midnight, so keep in mind that if an
e-mail is sent out announcing an event later that day then you might miss the event since
you will not get the e-mail until after midnight.
Please do not forward
urban legends to the list. Madeline Murray O'Hare is missing, so rest assured that she is
not trying to restrict the rights of Christians! Please avoid forwarding e-mail that
instructs the recipient to forward it to everyone they know. The vast majority of the time
such things are hoaxes. If you forward such e-mail, please check the validity of the
message and include a note in the message that explains how you verified the information
(such as the address of a web page at a credible web site that reports the same
information).
I have read the guidelines and I
would like to
